A podcast is a web feed of audio or video files placed on the Internet for anyone to subscribe to. (see wikipedia for more)

Why the popularity?

  • Apple's marketing!
  • familiarity with radio
  • intersection with entertainment
  • no change in methodology needed

My suspicions/reservations!

  • yet another teacher broadcast tool

They come and go, and not many manage to be regular.
There are good ones that require registration, and sometimes payment. Those listed here are all free.
